Natural stone worktops are just that – all natural. Engineered stones like Quartz in contrast have been further processed, with a small percentage of resin added and the stone compressed. The end result is a denser top, that is harder and more durable.
For natural stone options, such as marble and granite, the stone has not been processed beyond being removed from the quarry and made into slabs. This results in an entirely unique top made just for you.

Quartz worktops are made using compressed stone and a small percentage of resin added to bind it together. This results in an incredibly tough and durable surface.
Natural stone tops need a little more care than engineered stone options. Because they have not been compressed, natural stone surfaces are porous. This is easy to care for though. You just need to make sure you don’t leave substances sitting on the surface. Wipe it clean regularly so nothing soaks into the pores.Â
